CRIMES COMMISSION NABS 16 KWARA LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMEN OVER N4BILLION LOAN MISAPPROPRIATION

Penpushing also reports that, Head of Media and Publicity of the anti-graft agency, Wilson Uwajuren in a statement said  the Council Chiefs decided to share N100 million among themselves after securing the controversial loan after a meeting.

The suspects had on 7th February, 2018, requested for a N4billion loan from the Ilorin Branch Manager of Sterling Bank to pay the salary arrears of teachers under the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Local Government Staff and Local Government Pensioners.

Penpushing reports that, the embattled politicians were also accused of diverting ten percent of the monthly internally generated revenue for their personal use which was paid direct into their personal accounts against the Financial Regulations.

Meanwhile, Uwajuren in the statement disclosed that, all the suspects have made useful statements and further investigation continues.
