COURT ORDERS REMAND OF SIX SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS OVER ALLEGED RAPE

The accused are facing trial for conspiracy and rape, and in the charge sheet, the Police Prosecuting Officer alleged that the defendants on November17, around 6.00pm at Lagelu Grammar School had unlawful had a carnal knowledge of the female student, adding that the offences contravened Sections 360 and 517 of the Criminal Code Cap 38, Vol. II, Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

Penpushing further reports that the Chief Magistrate, Taiwo Oladiran, in his ruling, ordered the students to be remanded at Agugu Police Station instead of a correctional centre because they were all minors, and adjourned the case till Friday, December 6 for mention.
