Coronavirus: Jigawa State government to build 3 Isolation centres

The Jigawa State Government is to make available 3 isolation centers which can accommodate to treat number of coronavirus patients, provision said to be part of government measures in controlling and containing the pandemic.

Penpushing reports that, Governor Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar made this known on Wednesday while speaking with journalists after he visited General Yakubu Gowon National Youth Service Corps(NYSC)  Orietation camp to inspect the on-going installation of health facilities.

‘We have created 3 isolation centers to take care of any case of Covid 19 as part of measures taken against the pandemic since it outbreak” the Governor boasted, adding that ‘although Jigawa State has not recorded any case of the virus but it has a total of 44 ready to use bed capacity isolation centers to treat  the coronavirus  patients.

“There is no case of covid 19 in Jigawa State but as part of the measures against it, we are preparing ourselves for any outbreak,  but Allah is our protector’ he said, adding that  the State government is working hard to provide adequate ventilators for the State.

Penpushing further reports that, while commenting on the recent outbreak of the pandemic in neighboring State, the governor said, the State Government has intensified security in Jigawa – Katsina border to check the movement of people.

The Governor called on people and residents of the State to ensure that they observed all the guidelines provided by the experts and the Taskforce Committee members
