Chinese company supports Ogun state government with facilities to fight coronavirus

A Chinese Engineering Company, China Civil Construction and Engineering Company (CCECC)  has donated a new Toyota Hiace bus, cartons of surgical masks and sanitizers to support the Ogun State Government in its frantic efforts to fight coronavirus pandemic to a standstill,

Penpushing reports that, a representative of company, Kelvin Lee led other officials to present the items to the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Tokunbo Talabi at the Oke-Mosan Governor’s office in Abeokuta.

The company representative said the company decided to support the State government in its effort to cushion the effect of the coronavirus pandemic among the people and containment of its further spread in the State.

Penpushing further reports that, Lee noted that the support would provide significant and much needed-support towards provision of critical care facilities and medical consumables for the people.

The company representative while acknowledging the concerted efforts of the present administration towards limiting the spread of the virus amongst the people, called on the people of the state to support the government in curtailing the spread of the dreaded virus.

Penpushing also reports that, the Secretary to the State Government while receiving the donations, reiterated government desire to further take the already established relationship with the China Civil Construction and (CCECC) to a higher pedestal.

The scribe said the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration was appreciative of the show of concern at this period, the world was being struck by the coronavirus ,noting that the relief support from a multinational company like a Chinese firm, whose presence had been across the State for so long, would go a long way in complementing the palliative efforts of public-spirited individuals, organisations, state, as well as the federal governments.

Penpushing reports that,Talabi maintained that the gesture would further cement the established bond on infrastructural development across the State, appealing to the company to endeavour to monitor the activities of its personnel, particularly at this lockdown and ensure they follow the laid down global health procedure on the prevention of the virus from spreading.
