Child Protection Network Deputy Coordinator kidnapped in Ibadan

The Deputy Coordinator of Child Protection Network(CPN) Oyo State Chapter Ibukunoluwa Otesile has been reportedly kidnapped in the front gate of her house in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital.

Penpushing reports that the Coordinator of the Child Protection Network in the state Dr Rosemary Odigbo confirmed the incident to members of the organization on the platform describing the development as painful calling for intensive prayers towards her safety

‘Dear CPN members and CSO family, Our Deputy Coordinator, CPN Oyo State, Mrs. Ibukunoluwa Otesile, was kidnapped yesterday evening, Thursday 4th December. This is a painful moment for all of us’, Odigbo wrote.

“Please join us in intense prayers for her safe and quick release, strength for her family, and God’s guidance for the handling the case. Let us stay united, alert, and continue to uphold one another in prayer. May God arise for her deliverance and protect all frontline workers. Amen’, she added.

Penpushing further reports that a statement from Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) Oyo State Chapter by the Personal Assistant/Media Aide outgoing Chairman also confirm, adding that the victim is daughter of Rev Lekan Babatunde

“The daughter of our beloved Reverend Dr.Lekan Babatunde, was kidnapped this night Thursday, December 4th 2025, around 8:00Pm, Mrs. Ibukun Otesile, the mother of 2, was kidnapped at the front of her gate at General Gas.Mrs Ibukun Otesile is also the deputy coordinator of Oyo State Child Protection Network”,the statement reads.
