The female politician, however, appealed to the newly elected State Governor, Abdurahman Abdurazaq, to give her the “opportunity to correct the family wrong to avoid nemesis”.

“I just want the Governor elect to give me a chance to serve the people of Kwara. Just to say we are sorry. I don’t need appointment. Nemesis will catch up. I don’t want nemesis to catch up on my children, my grandchildren or upon myself. That’s why I am saying the truth now.”

The political structure of the duo late father Olusola Saraki, is a force to be reckon with in Kwara State politics, which paved way for them, but have for years at loggerhead on who control their father’s political dynasty

Penpushing further reports that, the Saraki dynasty in Kwara since 1979 has produced six Governors from the time of late Olusola Saraki. The Senate President was elected Kwara State Governor in 2003 through the help of his father.

However, when his junior sister (Gbemisola) made attempt to contest the Governorship election, after his tenure, the elder Saraki supported the incumbent Governor, Ahmed Abdulfatai, who defeated Oyinkansola against the will of their father.

Penpushing also reports that, at a point Saraki moved to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to contest the primaries in a bid to contest the Presidential election, but lost to Atiku Abubakar, who became the flagbearer of the party.

Ironically, the move of the Senate President became weightless during elections, having lost bid to contest the Senatorial seat, while his new found party also lost the Governorship seat in the State to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
