Buhari set for another two weeks trip four months after return from London medical treatment
Barely four months after his return from medical trip in United Kingdom (UK), President Muhammed Buhari is again to embark on similar trip effective from Friday and is expected to stay there for two weeks.
Penpushing reports that, Buhari and his family routinely travel to London for medical treatment amidst the insufficient and poorly equipped hospitals in Nigeria, and this has received public criticism, trips described as medical tourism
The President last trip was when the Nigerian Doctors were on strike, and returned from the medical trip in April, while record has it that, before his April trip, he had also gone to London for medical checkup in May 2018
Penpushing further reports that, the president’s spokesman, Femi Adesina,who confirmed the latest trip described as a ‘scheduled medical follow-up’, in a statement said he(Buhari) is due back in the country during the second week of July, 2021
