The Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has terminated appointment of Saratu Umar as the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission, but no reason was given on the development.

Penpushing reports that sources said the sack may be the fallout of reported allegations of incompetence and mismanagement against Umar, adding that the sack ends a crisis that has pitched the sacked secretary against her senior officers which affected the operation of the commission.

The Presidential spokesperson Femi Adesina disclosed the sack on Thursday, adding that in a directive to the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Richard Adeniyi Adebayo, the President also mandated the most senior Director in the Commission to immediately take over in the interim.
