The outgoing Governor on Thursday launched his Senatorial campaign, where he alleged some unnamed party leadership of being envious of his political growth, and contributed to his travail of inability to secure Governorship ticket for Adekunle Akinlade, as the All Progressives Congress(APC) candidate.

Penpushing also recalled that, Amosun disclosed that he visited the leadership of the party 28 times in a bid to secure the ticket for Akinlade, but all efforts failed,which led to defection of his supporters to Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

The Governor had continued to threatened the ruling party of working against its success at the governorship election in Ogun State, in favour of the Akinlade who is contesting under the platform of the opposition Allied Peoples Movement((APM).

Penpushing also recalled that the Governorship Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC), Dapo Abiodun, had pronounced at a press conference that, inspite of Amosun’s grievances, he would be accommodated when he(Abiodun) is set to kick start his campaign
