Breaking: Gas explosion on Lagos-Ibadan expressway, 3 injured

A  road traffic crash resulting in a gas explosion has occurred near Berger Yard along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Sunday night, with a vehicle burnt beyond recognition, while the cause was yet to be ascertained as at the time of this report at about 10.20pm

Penpushing reports that, three persons were injured in the explosion and already rushed to Idera hospital in Sagamu, located in Sagamu local Government Area of the State, but no death recorded as at the time of this report.

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC), Ogun State Command, Ahmed Umar who confirmed the incident  said the rescue team of the corps and fire fighters are fully on ground managing the situation

Penpushing further reports that, Umar while advising motorists to remain calm, discipline and cooperate with traffic managers  to avoid secondary clash, emphasised that situation along the road needs caution

‘FRSC Ogun Sector Command wishes to inform the motoring public on the traffic situation along Lagos-Ibadan expressway on burning Tanker laden with gas that resulted to fire incident around Danco’, he said.

‘FRSC rescue team and fire service are fully on ground managing the situation.  Traffic has been diverted to avoid secondary crash. Motorists are advised to remain calm , discipline, and cooperate with traffic managers’, Umar emphasied .
