BREAKING: FORMER GOVERNOR DANIEL ENGAGES GOVERNOR DAPO ABIODUN IN CLOSED DOOR MEETING
The former Governor, whose visit was the first after eight years he left office having also spent two term of eight years as Governor, immediately went straight into meeting with his host, Governors Dapo Abiodun.
Penpushing further recalled that, Daniel had earlier announced his retirement from active politics, but before his final quit, he mobilized his supporters in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to work for the success of Dapo Abiodun who was the Governorship flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (PDP)
However as at the time of filing this report 7.30pm, the meeting between Daniel and Abiodun was still in progress, but there was no clue to the agenda of the meeting, while before his arrival some chieftains of two opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), and African Democratic Congress (ADC) had engaged the Governor in similar closed door meeting.
Penpushing also reports that, they include Chief Adebayo Dayo, factional Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Prince Gboyega Isiaka, who was former Governorship Candidate of African Democratic Party (ADC) at the 2019 Governorship election in the State.
The meeting between leaders of the oppositions parties with the Governor lasted for about three hours while source said the meeting may not be unconnected with the process leading to the emergence of the State commissioners which Abiodun is yet to constitute.
