Breaking: FIRE OUTBREAK ON LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY, AS CRANE CATCHES FIRE
The ever busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is now on fire , as a 30 crane transiting on the road caught fire, , a development forcing many motorists to make urgent detour and passerby as well as travellers running helter skelter for safety of their lives.
Penpushing reports that, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, (TRACE), Public Relations Officer, Babatunde Akinbiyi who confirmed the incident said the incident occurred few minutes ago at the Redeem Youth Camp axis of the road.
The Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps spokesman said the crane belongs to a construction company and was on transit when the incident occurred, and appealed to motorists playing the axis to be cautious of the danger
“A 30 tone crane belonging to Buildwell Company caught fire while on transit at Redeemed Youth Camp outbound Lagos presently. Motorists plying the axis are implored to play safe and obey traffic diversionary measures put in place by TRACE Corps and other safety agencies around the traffic corridor”, Akinbiyi said..
