
Bose Williams retire gloriously from National Broadcasting Commission, celebrates 60th birthday
The Assistant Director National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Abeokuta Headquarters in Ogun, Mrs Abosede Williams (nee Apanisile) has gloriously retired from the service having attained age 60.
Penpushing reports that the double celebration of retirement and birthday service was held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the muliti-million-naira Providence events centre located on Moshood Abiola way, Abeokuta.
The well packaged ceremony attracted presence of dignitaries within and outside Ogun State, which include officials of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), South-West of Nigeria, as well as media executives from various media organisations.
Penpushing further reports that others who came to grace the occasion are members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), former students of Mass Communication of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta.
The list include professional bodies, family members of the celebrator, well-wishers, religious organisations, who all came around to be part of the glorious exit of Williams, a renowned and vibrant journalist after meritorious service.
Penpushing also reports the celebrator in Yoruba Aso-Oke attire was ushered in into the hall with a thunderous ovation by already seated guests, as she majestically and beaming with smiles danced into the hall.
The event was officially kicked off with prayers, followed with Christ Apostolic Church Hymn, admonition, comments and tributes from number of invited guests, presentation of gifts, cutting of cake and remarks from celebrant.
Penpushing reports that the anchor of the programme, Nurudeen Adebule added glamour to the ceremony with series of rib cracking jokes, as well as musician on band stand who throughout event was reeling out sonorous music.
The reception was equally held at the hall, with provision of various types of menu and drinks to satisfy over 200 guests, who equally went home with souvenirs as part of gift arrangements of the ceremony.
