
Bode Mustapha piches tent with Yayi on 2027 governorship ambition
A prominent Egba High Chief, Bode Mustapha has pitched his tent with Senator Solomon Olamilekan popularly called Yayi ahead of next political dispensation in electing Ogun State Governor, saying he is convinced about competence of Olamilekan to lead the state.
Penpushing reports that Mustapha, a renowned and Veteran politician made the declaration during a radio program in Abeokuta, adding that from all indication Yayi is the most qualified, adding that both his parents are from Ogun state, and specifically said sources showed that his father is from Yewa while the mother is from Egba.

The Osi Egba of Egbaland added that he made Yayi his choice of governorship aspirant because of his performances across the state, not limiting such gestures to Yewa axis of the state, which he is representing at the National assembly.
Penpushing further reports that Mustapha explained that he has no grudges with other governorship aspirants from Egba axis, adding that they are free and qualified to contest, however, said from his opinion the only person that can do better is Solomon Olamilekan

The chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) emphasised that contrary to speculation that Yayi has no family root in Egbaland, said he is aware that findings showed that his(Yayi) mother was of Egba origin, just as he added that using his father’s Yewa axis for politics was an advantage for indigenes of that zone, having not produce governor since creation of the state.
Penpushing also reports that Mustapha declared that it was high time the Yewas are given the opportunity to rule the state, with emergence of Yayi from the zone in the spirit of fairness and equity, emphasizing that the next Governor should come from the zone
