The Electoral Commissioner said that there should be a clear cut in defining who a journalist is, because a journalist is like a teacher, and a teacher who did not know what to teach his or her students will mislead his or her students.

Hear him ‘A journalist that lack fact will always disseminate fake news to the public and mislead them’, adding further that journalists should always be ethical and professional during the discharge of their duties, noting that adequate reportage go a long way in changing the peoples mind set.

“Get your fact before you publish any story, be ethical professional, by doing this, 2019 election will be credible, free and fair if you desist from dissemination of fake news’, he emphasised.

The Commission boss while speaking on 2019 general election, said that people need to know that knowledge in election is about law, process and regulations that guided the entire electoral system.

He noted that in the security report he is getting from some quarters, politicians in Oyo State are looking for what they cannot get, because they are allegedly approaching the electorate to buy their PVC in readiness for 2019 general election.

“There is no available PVC INEC to sell to any politician and none of our staff will compromised this.I have nothing to hide concerning 2019 general election in Oyo State, whoever win in 2019 shall be announce as the winners’, Agboke said.
