Bank customer slumps, dies after withdrawing N50,000 for medication
An unidentified bank customer on Monday, slumped and died outside the premises of Access Bank shortly after withdrawing N50,000 located at the bank located in Jankada Junction in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.
Penpushing reports that a witness said the incident occurred at about 11 a.m. immediately after he came out of the bank hall, adding a transaction receipt and cash was found on his body, while a bank cashier who attended to him affirmed that the deceased withdrew the money in a hurry stating that he was sick and need to be at the hospital for treatment.
The Taraba State Police Command Public Relations Officer Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the incident, said following information received by the command it immediately assigned officers to the scene to evacuate the corpse.
‘I personally sent policemen to go to the scene when we got the information, but for now I can’t ascertain the present situation because I have been busy on the recruitment exercise’ Abdullahi stated
