Baby burnt to death in Jigawa state

A new born baby has been burnt to death at a waste disposal site in Kwarin Naganda Quarters in Hadejia Local Government Area of Jigawa State, while the remains as at the time of this report had being deposited in the morgue.

Penpushing reports that, the spokesman of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), Adamu Shehu, who confirmed the incident, said source informed that, the baby was earlier abandoned at the site.

The Defence image maker said the sad incident occurred on Wednesday, 13th of August 2020 at around 4:30pm, adding that the attention of personnel of the corps in Hadejia Local Government Area was drawn by a resident of the area.

Penpushing further reports that, Shehu said the agency  personnel rushed to the area and took the burnt baby  to Hadejia General Hospital where he was confirmed dead, adding that the authorities were making efforts to arrest the perpetuator(s) of such ungodly and despicable act.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence (NSCDC) while condemning the act, promised to get to the root of the crime and bring perpetrators to book.
