ASSEMBLY INVASION: POLICE RELEASE INTERIM REPORT TO VICE-PRESIDENT, SAYS SECURITY PERSONNEL ACTED LIKE MERCENARIES TO CARRY OUT EXECUTION
The report titled, ’Interim Investigation Report on Criminal Conspiracy to Wit Trespass, Intimidation and Unlawful Invasion of National Assembly Complex with Intent Likely to Cause Breach of Public Peace’, emphasized that all operatives of the service engaged in the invasion and barricade of the National Assembly should be produced to face interrogation.
The interim report also requested for need to search the houses and premises of all identified suspects, while all communication gadgets such as computers, mobile phones and other electronic devices of the suspects will be thoroughly analysed
‘It is crystal clear that the principal suspect, Lawal Musa Daura maybe acting the script of some highly placed politicians to achieve selfish political goals, hence his unilateral and unlawful decision to invade the National Assembly Complex’
The report added that, as it stands now, the former Director General, who is the principal suspect was undergoing further interrogation at the police facility and is currently placed on house arrest at a private property inBirnin Kebbi close, off Birnin Kebbi Crescent Garki 11, Abuja awaiting further directives from the presidency
