Assasination allegation: Kashamu is a frustrated bankrupt politician, says bayo dayo

The immediate former Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),Ogun State Chapter, Engr Bayo Dayo said the controversial chieftain of the party, Senator Buruji Kashamu is frustrated bankrupt politician.

Penpushing reports that Bayo stated this in an exclusive interview in reaction to Kashamu allegation against him, that he (Dayo) was plotting to assassinate him, stressing that the allegation was nothing but insinuation of a bankrupt person.

‘I am not going to gain anything,  I even doubt whether his children will gain anything if he die today, somebody who is owing N13 billion. What does he has that his children will use to pay the N13 billion. What will be my gain if he is dead, I have nothing to gain.  I am happy for what God has done for me,  so where is the money to hire the boys, I have no money but I am happy’.

Penpushing further reports that, Dayo said his plan as the chairman of the party was to settle differences in all groups of the party, adding that Kashamu was not interest in that because of his selfish interest, and rather resolved to cook up fake allaegation against him

‘What would I gain if I kill him that man is just beating about the bush. He doesn’t know what he has to say any longer . As the chairman of the party, I want to settle differences in all groups in the party and he is not interested in that. So he can go to hell. I don’t deal with that’, Dayo declared.

The former chairman who announced his retirement from politics said in the last one week he has not left his house, stressing that how will he employ anybody to assassinate a bankrupt man, stressing that, this man is just crazy, is  he doing  what we called politics? This is no more politics’.

‘You see, as far as I know, I am retired from politics, in the last one week I have not left my house. It is a good thing I have security details  with me and no movement.  How will I waste my money to employ anybody to go and kill somebody? I am not violent. Nobody have ever seen me to be violent’, he stated.

Penpushing also shed light to what led in parting way with Kashamu, explaining that this happened about four weeks ago, when he(Dayo) made him (Kashamu) realized that bulk of  party executive elected in 2016 had left to join Ladi Adebutu camp of the party

‘That is about four,  five weeks ago,  I went to him in his office told him that out of the 27 exco members that were elected in 2016,   24 of them had gone to Lado group , only 3 left and out of the 3 that are left, the state secretary has gone also’, he stated

‘What do we do, let us settle the differences between the two groups so that we will become one. He told me in his office there that even if the Chairman also decides to go, is free to go the following day’.

‘Buruji Kashamu does  not realise that I was the state chairman, he thought he is the Alpha and Omega of the party.  The State chairman has the right to go and settle any differences in any group, whether he likes or not and that is what I did’.

‘And It was then I wrote a letter to our solicitor telling him, briefing him that I don’t want to go to court anymore , my tenure is expiring  and the only thing in my mind now is to unite the party and that is what I started doing.  He felt bad about it and started shouting, writing many things in the papers’.

The past chairman said, he had already drag Kashamu to court for defaming his name, disclosing that the case is slated to come up for hearing on hearing at a court in Ijebu-Ode, emphasisng, ‘I have taken him to court already, for defaming  my name,  we have a case in Ijebu Ode, for defamation of my character. That is the situation’

Penpushing reports that, Dayo further explained that he left politics after expiration of his tenure as the party chairman on May 9,2020, adding that he was not fighting for any political office anymore

‘Yes,  I said have retired from politics because my tenure as expired on the 9th of this month and when that happens, I am not fighting for any office in my lifetime. Why is anyone worrying me unnecessarily and what will I gain if Buruji Kashamu is there or not. The National Chairman has said he is no more a member of the party’
