Articulated vehicle rammed into crowd killed four in Ogbomosho

An articulated vehicle on Friday rammed into people and number of cars, and motorcycles at Apake area, along Old Ogbomoso-Ilorin road, killing no fewer than four persons, and several others sustaining various degree of injuries
Penpushing reports that it was allegedly said that the officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC) chased the mini articulated vehicle coming from Ilorin which led to the unfortunate incident.
The Northern bound vehicle, an eye witness, who identified himself as Dayo Akintunde said the driver loss brake while trying to evade arrest from the officers of the road safety corps, adding that, “four people died on the spot, while others victims who sustained various injuries were taken to Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital (LAUTECHTH) Ogbomoso.
Penpushing further reports that, the Unit commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps( FRSC), Bolade Olugbesan absolved his officers from the incident, saying that his men were far away from the venue of the incident.
Meanwhile, as at the time of filling this report, the office of the Road Safety at High school area have been heavily manned by fully armed security operatives to prevent attack from some of the aggrieved residents who may want to attack the officials.
