Buhari returns to Nigeria after London medications

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday returned to Nigeria after  spending weeks in United Kingdom  for medical consultation, a trip he took few days after he alleged medical workers of discouraging Nigerians of receiving treatment over their unpleasant behavior towards patients .

Penpushing reports that, Buhari landed in a Presidential flight at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at about 4.45 p.m. alongside some of his aides, and thereafter moved to the Presidential villa with helicopter

The President was welcomed by the Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammed Bello, and the National Security Adviser to the President, Babagana Monguno.

Penpushing further reports that others include the service chiefs, acting Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali, the Director-General, National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufa’i, the Director General of the State Security Services, Yusuf Bichi and other presidential aides.

The President had left Nigeria on March 30 for London, United Kingdom, for routine medical check-up, and was  criticised by many Nigerians for embarking for medical treatment at a time resident Doctors in the country were preparing for a nationwide strike.

Penpushing also reports that, a group led by a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, on March 3, organised a protest in London, against Buhari for coming to the country for medical check up, an action the protesters said was conceived to harass him out of the United Kingdom.
