Amosun commiserates with Olowu of Owu kingdom over death of mother
Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has commiserated with the Olowu of Owu kingdom, Oba (Prof)Saka Matemilola over the death of his mother, Alhaja Aliratu Adunni Matemilola in the early hours of Sunday, October 27, 2024.
Penpushing reports that Amosun in a statement by his media officer Lanre Akinwale joined the Matemilola royal family to mourn the exit of Iya Oba, noting that her death has left a big vacuum that will be difficult to fill, emphasising the important roles of parents in the lives of the children.
The two term Governor and two-time Senator described the deceased as a doting mother who exemplified the cherished values of quality parenting and proper upbringing of her children and other members of her family.
“She will be remembered for giving to us in Owu kingdom our respected monarch, the Olowu of Owu, who has remained a symbol of unity, progress and development’, Amosun emphasized in the condolence message
Penpushing further reports that he enjoined the traditional ruler not to mourn but rather celebrate the eventful life of his late mother and the enduring legacies she left behind, praying that Allah would forgive her shortcomings, grant her Aljannah Firdaus, and give the entire Matemilola royal family, the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
