America trained nollywood filmmaker arrested for drug trafficking in Lagos

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a United States of America (USA) trained Hollywood and Nollywood filmmaker, Eme Mbadiwe, for drug trafficking in Lagos on December 27, 2024.

Penpushing reports that Director, Media and Advocacy of the agency, Femi Babafemi made this known in a statement adding that the arrest of the suspect, who is also a motivational speaker, was effected at his Lekki Hotel room.

The statement said the arrest followed the arrest of his partner, Uzoekwe Ugochukwu, earlier on the same day at a warehouse in Ajao estate Ikeja, adding that the Nollywood filmmaker sent Ugochukwu to collect a shipment of 33 parcels of Loud, a strong strain of cannabis weighing 17.30 kilograms.

Penpushing further reports that Babfemi said the drugs arrived at the Import Shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, (MMIA) Ikeja on December 24, 2024 from the United States of America (USA) on a Delta Airline flight, concealed in large wooden boxes.
