Alumni association to donate new lecturers’ offices to university of Lagos
The University of Lagos, Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (UNILAGFEAA) will on Friday, July 28,2023 commission and handover newly constructed lecturers’ offices to the Faculty of Engineering of the institution.
Penpushing reports that the association’s Publicity Secretary, Engr. Taiwo Lawal made this known in a statement on Wednesday, adding that the Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof. Folashade Ogunsola, will commission the projects.
The statement explained that, some of the offices were donated by an alumnus and the Group Managing Director of Geoplex Drillteq Limited, Engr Wole Ogunsanya, while the other offices were donated by University of Lagos, Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (UNILAGFEAA) under the leadership of Engr Dideolu Falobi, who is the Managing Director, Kresta Laurel Limited, Nigeria.
Penpushing further reports that the association imagemaker expressed the appreciation of the body to Engr. Kolawole Ogunsanya for making good his promise to execute the project in record time, and equally extended the appreciation to other generous donors to the faculty such which include Governors Babajide Sanwoolu, Seyi Makinde as well as Engr Kunle Ogunbayo and the 1985 set among others.
The statement disclosed that that the association in similar vein, will be executing the construction of 4No 116-seater classrooms as part of the 500-million-naira developmental project embarked upon by the executives with the objective of creating an optimal educational environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, innovation, and academic excellence.
Penpushing also reports that the publicity secretary thanked the alumni of the University for their most generous contributions and their unwavering support for the association and the Faculty which had led to a significant upgrade in its infrastructure.
The spokesperson, however, charged all the products of the University of Lagos Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association who are yet to join the train to come onboard and contribute their own quota to the on-going developments under the auspices of the association.
