The State Chairman of the party, Chief Derin Adebiyi had at a press conference declared Akinlade as the winner of the primaries claimed to have being conducted throughout the 236 wards in the State, adding that following the failure of the National Working Committee,( NWC), to conduct the party primaries, ‘because they have being compromised’, the party decided to conduct the primary

Penpushing reports that, the Chairman of National Working Committee,( NWC), Muhammad Ndabawa, in his own submission announced the results of the primary which produced Dapo Abiodun ,and also declared that, the results said to have been released by the Chairman of the party was null and void, stressing that results of the committee, which was set up by the National Headquarters of the party remained the authentic.

But Otegbaye, the Elder forum Chairman while reacting to the National Working Committee, (NWC), results, challenged the committee to produce the results to the public, arguing that there was no election conducted by the committee, rather, they just sat somewhere and concocted the election results.

His words, ‘As much as APC has zone Governorship to Ogun West, no group in the party has right to produce candidate from another zone. The APC zoning the slot to Ogun West still valid. You will recall that, Ogun West has been in the vanguard of producing the next Governor, because we have never had it since the creation of the State’.

He added, ‘the national working committee has been compromised. What the NWC release as results is to cause crisis. The Ogun West is known to be peaceful people, and we won’t get involve in violence or crisis. We are calling on all Nigerians to prevail on all those behind this to retrace their steps. We believe President Buhari and APC National Chairman would not allow this open cheat to go’

‘Everybody knows that Akinlade won at all the 236 wards, and any results contrary to that is robbery and cannot hold. We call on all residents to remain calm, as justice shall be done. We challenge the panel to produce results they use to announce, because we are aware that they did not conduct any primary, but concocted the results’, the forum chairman emphasised
