Again, bandits kill six, abduct several others in President Buhari’s home state
Bandits have again launched violent attack on Unguwar Samanja village in Faskari local government area of President Muhammed Buhari’s Katsina State, killing at least six people, abducting several others.
Penpushing reports that, some residents of the neigbouring Daudawa community, while narrating the bitter experience said the bandits arrived at the village at 5:49 p.m. on Sunday when residents were preparing for the dawn prayer.
The source added that, the gunmen rode into the village on motorcycles minutes before the dawn prayer and started shooting sporadically, adding that from information available to him, those confirmed dead have been buried.
Penpushing further reports that a student of a tertiary institution in Zamfara State, identified as Hassan said the attackers also abducted several people but as at the time of filing his report could not ascertained their number.
“From what I gathered, five people were confirmed dead after the attack and they have been buried today (Monday) morning. They also burnt down houses and shops before leaving the village. I was told that they did not loot the shops, they only burnt them,” he said he said.
Penpushing also reports that, Kastina State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Gambo Isa, as at the time of filing this report was yet to send reaction, or issued official statement on the incident.
