Adebutu retrieves car gift from campaign secretary general over romance with Yayi ahead of 2027 poll
The Secretary General of Ladi Adebutu Campaign Organisation, Comrade Niyi Osoba has dumped his principal and former Governorship Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Ogun State, Hon Ladi Adebutu to join the camp of Senator Solomon Olamilekan popularly called Yayi, of All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of 2027 general elections
Penpushing reports that Osoba who confirmed this development in a statement on Sunday explained that following his decision to quit political camp of Adebutu, he (Adebutu) has equally retrieved the Sienna space wagon vehicle earlier pronounced as a compensation for him (Osoba) six years quality service towards his (Adebutu) Gubernatorial ambition.
The former Chairman of Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Ogun State Chapter turned politician added that the car gift was also as compensation for stepping down from contesting the 2022 national delegate election in Ijebu-Ode local government area, for his (Adebutu) preferred choice.
Penpushing further reports that Osoba in the statement declared that he got fed up with Adebutu’s leadership style and decided not to be part of his 2027 governorship ambition, coupled with his (Osoba) conviction that it was not the turn of Ogun East Senatorial District to produce next Governor in the state
‘I recently got fed up with Ladi Adebutu’s leadership styles hence I decided not to be part of his 2027 gubernatorial ambition coupled with my thought that Ogun East Senatorial district does not appear to, morally and justiceably, have business in the Ogun 2027 Gubernatorial race, so I moved to APC believing that Ogun west candidate should be considered to have a shot at the number one position for the first time in the fifty years of the creation of Ogun state’, Osoba emphasised.
‘Subsequently, during my consultation sessions, i held a meeting with Senator Yayi. Thereafter, he, Hon Ladi Adebutu, got wind of my parley with Yayi and got infuriated that an enigma had left his camp’, he added.
‘That was the basis for his emotional behaviour and retrieval of the Sienna space wagon vehicle which he earlier pronounced as a compensation for my six years quality service towards his Gubernatorial ambition, twice, as well as compensation for stepping down from contesting the 2022 national delegate election in Ijebu ode LG area, for his preferred choice. I would have realized about N10m if I had contested and won the election’, Osoba stressed.
