Abese community ready for Baale’s installation, school project commissioned
The Abese community in Ewekoro local government area of Ogun State will on Saturday August 30, 2025 installed the Head of the community, High Chief Olawale Aikulola as Baale of Orile-Abese.
Penpushing reports that as part of activities ahead of the ceremony the newly-built classrooms and other facilities at Methodist Primary School, Abese, were commissioned on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, by the Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat.
The dignitaries at the event include the Executive Chairman Ewekoro local government, Hon. Sikiru Adisa Adesina, who reconstructed the facilities; Olu of Itori Oba Akorede Akamo; Elejio of Ejio, Oba Sesan Ogunmuyiwa, among others.
Penpushing further reports that Abese town is agog with the installation of its traditional ruler by the Olowu of Owu Kingdom Abeokuta, Oba (Prof.) Saka Adelola Matemilola less than two weeks away.
The traditional rulers and eminent personalities expected at the royal event, holding at Methodist Primary School, Abese, from 9 am, will be the Alawowo of Awowo, Oba Abdul Gafar Tijani; Olorile of Orile Ifo, Oba Abdul Semiu Ogunjobi; Elejio of Ejio, Oba Olusesan Ogunmuyiwa, Onipapa of Papalanto, Oba Abdul Rasak Famuyiwa; and Olu of Abule Owu, Oba Abdul Wasiu.
Penpushing also reports that others are the Chairman of the Council of Baales of Ewekoro local government, Engr. Olufemi Olatidoye, who is the Baale of Adeagba; and Chairman of Baale Owu Council General (Ifo and Ewekoro LGAs), Mukaila Ogunsola, who is equally the Baale of Oke Oko.
The statement by the Chairman of Media Committee of the installation ceremony, Mr. Muyiwa Akintunde boasted that Abese town has witnessed tremendous development since High Chief Aikulola assumed the stool several years ago.
Penpushing reports that Akintunde added that these include a massive road construction project, which makes access to the community easier than ever, adding that the Baale has also embarked on other infrastructural projects.
The statement said the Baale expressed gratitude to the Olowu and his traditional council for the support and encouragement Abese had received, and appreciated sons and daughters of the community and several well-wishers, including traditional rulers, who have encouraged the growth of the community in one way or the other.
‘We thank God for the opportunity he has given us in Abese town to improve the lives and living of our people, who now have a new lease of life’, Aikulola emphasized
