Abducted schoolboys in Katsina State regain freedom
The kidnapped students of Government Science Secondary School Kankara in Kastina State have regained from six days after their abduction by suspected Boko Haram who earlier claimed responsibility of the abduction.
Penpushing reports that the Secretary to the Katsina State Government, Mustapha Inuwa made this known, adding that as at the time of filing this report the freed students are being transported from Tsafe town in Zamfara to the Katsina government house .
The terrorists had earlier in the day released video of the kidnapped students, assuring the Governor of Kastina State of the safety of the victims, while in the video, one of the students believed to have been forced to call for disengagement of the military in the zone was seen speaking
The gunmen, it is recalled had last week stormed the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara and allegedly abducted over 300 students and few days after the Governor said government had begun negotiating with the kidnappers.
Penpushing further reports that, following the released of the victims, sources from the presidency disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to address the students Friday morning.
