Frontline Nigerian movie marketer, Olurotimi Aina-Kusoro becomes Balogun of Imasayi
A top Nigerian movie marketer, Chief (Dr.) Olurotimi Aina-Kusoro has added another feather to his cap, as he was installed as the new Balogun of Imasayi town in Yewa North Local Government area of Ogun State, a ceremony held on Sunday November 19,2023.
Penpushing reports that the installation with the approval of the traditional ruler of the town, Oba Lukman Olalekan Kuoye and consent of the Imasayi Traditional Council recorded remarkable history in the ancient town
The Balogun Imasayi who is the Chairman, Highwaves Video Mart and popularly called Kush had a brief working experience with United African Company (UAC) Nigeria and Guinness Nigeria Plc before he ventured into movie production and marketing in the 1990s.
Penpushing further reports that Aina-Kusoro studied Statistics and Mathematics at the Yaba College of Technology and a holder of Post Graduate Diploma and Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT) Enugu in 1991.
The royal father of the town in his speech at the occasion, said he has no regret in the choice of Aina-Kusoro as the new Balogun of Imasayi having considered his pedigree and contributions to the growth of the town.
Penpushing also reports that the traditional ruler added that the newly installed Balogun is a high pillar of support to his administration as the Kabiyesi of the town since he assumed the throne of his forefathers as the Olu of Imasayi over two years ago.
The Balogun in his acceptance speech, vowed to be loyal to the monarch and the town, as well as appreciating his kinsmen for deeming it fit for him to be elevated to the exalted office of the Balogun of Imasayi.
Penpushing reports that the occasion graced by traditional chiefs from the town as well as family, friends and numerous well-wishers was marked with gun salutes to honour the Balogun who is regarded as the head of the warlords.
