Penpushing further reports that he pointed out that the theme aligns seamlessly with the ongoing bold steps of the state government towards digitizing public service operations and adopting practices that reflect modern governance standards

‘The Public Service Day, as set aside by the United Nations, is a dedicated moment each year to celebrate the value and virtue of public service to the community, highlight contribution of public service in the development process and recognize the work of public servants’, he stated.

‘Essentially, it serves as an avenue to celebrate and appreciate the selfless sacrifices and contributions of Civil/Public Servants as the ‘Engine Room’ of Government. Over the years, it has evolved into a celebration of relevance and responsibility, and this year’s edition, I must remark, has upheld that legacy with vibrancy and purpose’, Onasanya said.

Penpushing also reports that he congratulated all civil/public servants across the state and reiterate that their roles in driving the engine of governance are deeply appreciated, as well as wishing the workforce more rewarding public service.

‘I encourage us all to remain focused and committed to improving our service delivery and most particularly, undeterred in our steadfast efforts towards the continued successful implementation of the ‘Building Our Future Together’ Agenda of His Excellency, the Governor.

The number one civil servant in same vein expressed appreciation to members of the State Executive Council and other political appointees for the cordial working relationship enjoyed across MDAs and for always identifying with the teeming workforce.

‘In a similar vein, I express deep gratitude to our revered forebears, retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries, whose steady guidance and advisory presence have remained a source of institutional memory and strength to the civil/public service. We cherish your continued partnership, Sirs and Mas’, Onasanya emphasised.
