46 -year- old Nigerian nightlife entrepreneur entertains guests with 400 cows, N3.5million worth of drink at mother’s burial
A popular Nigerian nightlife entrepreneur, Obi Cubana, has attained unprecedented record in the country as he buried his mother, Ezinne Iyiegbu, slaughtering over 400 cows, and provide drink said to worth N3.5million to host guests in Oba community, Anambra State
Penpushing reports that, the burial ceremony of the septuagenarian which became talk of the town was regarded as burial of the year, which many observed as bar too high for anyone aspiring to beat the unprecedented record in the country.
The cows among other donations were said to have come from Cubana’s friends and associates, while it was also learnt that 67 private jets, as well as fleet of over 500 luxury cars, landed in the sleepy farming village
Penpushing further reports that, cash of various denominations which include hard currency were sprayed at the event like water to the amazement of thousands of guests, who came to grace the burial occasion held on Friday with other side attractions
The late woman , who passed away in December 2020, was buried on Friday in a N30million worth casket,while friends of Cubana were seen trying to outshine themselves in a lavish manner with currencies being displayed
Penpushing reports that,Obi Iyiegbu, popularly called Cubana,is a graduate of Political science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and made his mark in the Nigerian hospitality industry when he opened Ibiza Club in Abuja in 2006.
The 46 year old Anambra Staten born. business mogul, three years later, established the Cubana group, a hospitality club that provides all-around entertainment satisfaction, which was first established in Owerri, Imo state capital Nigeria.
Penpushing further reports that,as at the time of this report, the father-of-three owns some of the most expensive hotels across the country,and he. is reportedly worth $500m while his investments and conglomerates scattered across the world are estimated at $2b.
The self-acclaimed show-killer, arrived at the venue in grand style, donning a 24-karat gold sunglasses by the House of Lunette, while a video circulated on Instagram shows a drink worth N3.5m being passed around guests.
Penpushing also reports that, Cubana prior to the burial, immortalised his mother by making a diamond pendant and neck chain worth N41m,said to be designed by celebrity jeweller, Efobi Stephen.
Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, information has it that, the burial thanksgiving service, will be held on Sunday at the Good Shepherd Anglican Church, in the community, and learnt that more wealth will be displayed.
