Oyo State journalists to honour former Ogun State Governor, Amosun, as he delivers lecture on Buhari’s regime

The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo State Council will honour former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun with ‘Great Icon of Progressives Bloc Award’ at forthcoming Press Week, where he (Amosun) is to deliver lecture of Post-President Muhammed Buhari era and task ahead
Penpushing reports that the Chairman of the Union Comrade,Ademola Babalola in a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital said Amosun, is expected to speak on the topic; “All Progressives Congress and the Post Muhammadu Buhari’s Era, the task ahead of us”
The statement said the award and the lecture would take place at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan on Tuesday, November 30 at 12pm , adding that the former Governor would be celebrated for his numerous contributions to human and national development, especially in the area of grassroots mobilisation and unparalleled bridge building efforts between the South and the North.
Penpushing further reports that the 2021 Press Week will kick off at the family church of a Governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Engr Joseph Tegbe on Sunday 28th of November while the programme ends on Friday, December 3rd, 2021 with Awards Night for a number of distinguished Nigerians who have been supporting the union and making the society a better place for all to live peacefully.
Meanwhile, the former Ogun State Governor, who is currently the Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, and ruled the Gateway State for two terms between 2011 and 2019
