Twitter authorities in talks with Nigerian government over possible restoration of service

Penpushing reports that, Nigerian government a week ago suspended the activities of microblogging platform, Twitter, and yet to rescind its order as the suspension runs into second week, while the duration of the said conciliatory moves and end result remain unknown to observers.
The Twitter’s public policy also alluded to the government’s stance recalling that it is precisely a week Nigeria government blocked operations of the worldwide know organisation
“Today marks one week since Twitter was blocked in Nigeria. We have informed the Nigerian government that we are ready to meet for an open discussion to address mutual concerns and see the service restored,” Twitter’s public policy stated
The Nigerian government as at the time of filing this report is yet to release conditions for the reversal of the indefinite suspension but also claimed to be in talks with the social media company.
Penpushing reports that, the twitter which is currently accessible to Nigerians who have bypassed government’s restrictions, promised that it will continue to advocate free and open Internet everywhere.
