27 kidnapped Kaduna College students freed

After spending seven weeks in captivity having being abducted from Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka in Kaduna State, 27 students of the institute on Wednesday regained freedom.

Penpushing reports that,as at the time of filing this report, the released students are on their way to Kaduna, while it was not clear if the Kaduna State or Federal Government paid any ransom before being set free by their abductors

The Kaduna State Government source said a press briefing will be held upon the arrival of the freed students, while it is recalled that they were among the 37 abducted on March 11, 2021, with some of them released earlier

Penpushing further reports that, the parents of the abducted students had on Tuesday embarked on a protest to the National Assembly appealing to the lawmakers and Nigerian government to assist in the release of the innocent students
