25-year-old man allegedly steals N7.5million electric cable in Lagos
A 25-year-old man, Alex Ibrahim, has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court Lagos State for allegedly stealing an electric cable worth N7.5 million, and currently facing a charge of stealing under Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Penpushing reports that the prosecutor, Josephine Ikhayere, told the court that the defendant who resides at Opic, Lagos committed the offence on August 9, 2025, at about 9:00 p.m. at number 11A Church Close, Isheri North Government Reservation Area (GRA), Lagos.

The prosecutor, a superintendent of police added that the defendant allegedly stole the electric cable worth N 7.5 million, property of one Sunday Alele, but he (defendant), however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Penpushing further reports that the magistrate, Lateef Owolabi, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N800,000 with two reliable sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until September 24, 2025 for mention.
