24 hours to Supreme Court judgement, Peoples Democratic Party former chairman defects to All Progressives Congress

A chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ogun State Chapter,Engr  Dayo Bayo has defected to All Progressives Congress(APC) just few hours to delivery of judgment by the Supreme Court over Governorship tussle instituted by the opposition party in the state.

Penpushing reports that the ruling party has, however, in a statement by its publicity secretary Tunde Oladunjoye confirmed the development and welcome Bayo, a former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), alongside his supporters who on Thursday joined the fold of All Progressives Congress (APC)

‘The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has welcomed the immediate past Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Engr. Adebayo Dayo, into its fold. Engr. Adebayo Dayo’s move, though should have happened much earlier, was a step in the right direction. We salute his courage and hope to tap from his rich grassroots political experience”, Oladunjoye wrote

Penpushing further reports that Oladunjoye added that the party assured of a level-playing field and equal opportunity for all, adding that, as Governor Dapo Abiodun, has always said ‘in the All Progressives Congress (APC), there are no founder, there are no joiners, but are all stakeholders and family members.

The statement expressed the hope that in the next couple of days, more members of the asphyxiating Ogun state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)will abandon it and join the gentleman, but hardworking Governor in taking Ogun state to greater heights, thereby giving meaning to the slogan ‘Igbeba Ipinle  Ogun. Ajose gbogbo wa ni’.”
