23 year old man arrested for defiling 3 year old girl in ogun state

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 23 year old man, Badmus Qaudri  for defiling a 3 year old girl (name withheld) in Owode-Egbado, in Yewa South local government area of the State

Penpushing reports that, Command Public Relations Officer Abimbola Oyeyemi made this known, adding that the suspect was arrested following a complaint by the mother of the victim who reported at Owode Egbado police station that she noticed blood at the private part of her daughter when she came back from market, and when she interrogated her daughter, she revealed that it was Quadri who took her into his room and had carnal knowledge of her.

“Upon the report, the DPO Owode Egbado division SP Olabisi Elebutte led her detectives to the area where the suspect who is a neighbor to the parents of the victim was promptly arrested after the victim identified him”, Oyeyemi said.

Penpushing further reports that,  the police spokesman said the victim was quickly taken to the general hospital at Idiroko where it was confirmed that she has been defiled.

The Commissioner of Police Kenneth Ebrimson has ordered the transfer of the case to anti human trafficking and child labour unit of state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.

Penpushing reports that, the police boss also reiterated the readiness of the command to deal decisively with anybody who involved himself in act of violence against women in accordance with the law of the land.
