GOMBE POLICE COMMAND RECORDS BREAKTHROUGH IN ARREST OF CRIMINALS
Penpushing reports that the command disclosed that exhibits recovered from them include the following; two sharp cutlasses and one Gionee mobile phone.
The Command added that, in addition, the proactive measures emplaced by the Divisional Police Officer Pantami, led to the arrest of a notorious Kalari Kingpins, Shuaibu Saleh alias “Dan Alkali”(18) of Plateau junction, Gombe and Mohammed Sani alias “Baki”(18) of Water Board area, Gombe, who were on the command’s wanted list over cases of criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, causing hurts and criminal misappropriation.
Similarly, on the September15 the Command arrested another group of suspected criminals identified as Umar Abubakar (22) of Herwagana quarters, Gombe, Suleiman Mohammed (18) of Madaki quarters Gombe, Abdulkadir Alkasim (18) of Bamusa quarters, Gombe and Obida Ibrahim (22) of Madaki quarters, Gombe in a case of criminal conspiracy,
The statement said, the suspects were in possession of dangerous weapons, house breaking and theft, and were arrested by the police patrol team from Low-cost Division in synergy with vigilantes and hunters, with two cutlasses recovered as exhibits.
Penpushing further reports that, the command said it also arrested another gang on September 15 ,in a case of criminal conspiracy, abduction and rape, and gave identities of suspects as Abubakar Mohammed (19) of Malam Kuri quarters, Gombe, Abdullahi Bello(17) of Bagadaza quarters, Gombe, Yusuf Munkaila Daiyyabu (19) of Malam Kuri quarters ,
The Command said the duo were arrested based on a complaint by one Abdullaziz Jimoh of Bolari quarters, Gombe that on August 20, the suspects and others at large conspired and abducted his daughter and her friend who are aged16 and17yrs years respectively from Bomala quarters, Gombe, and took them to a forest along Kumo Road and sexually assaulted them.
Penpushing reports that, the Commissioner while promising to continue to combat crimes and criminalities, appealed to residents of the State to continue to partner, collaborate, co-operate and assist the police with verifiable intelligence in addition to genuine and useful information in ‘our collective bid to serve the community better’.
The Police boss also appealed to politicians in the State to play the game according to the rules while assisting the Police to combat and route the menace of Kalare boys by refusing to patronize the common criminals during the political activities.
