Yoruba nation agitators hold rally in Ondo state
Hundreds of Yoruba nation agitators on Saturday embarked on a rally in Akure,Ondo State Capital,calling for the break away of the ethnic group from Nigeria,as they were being monitored by security operatives.
Penpushing reports that, the agitators who are members of the .Pro–Yoruba nation group, Ilana Omo Oodua, were seen with various placards, and blocked, as well as obstructing vehicular movements.
The protesters believed to be enjoying the support of some influential Yoruba leaders,at the rally claimed that they were fed up with nepotism and misruled of the President Muhammed Buhari led administration.
Penpushing further reports that, leaders in the South-West posited that only an urgent restructuring would save Nigeria from breaking up, while it is recalled that 17 Southern Governors in the country also called for restructuring but President Muhammadu Buhari appears not to be perturbed by the development.
Meanwhile, the Ondo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Tee Leo-Ikoro, as at the tme of filing this report was yet to make any official statement or police position known on the rally
