STEP MOTHER ARRESTED FOR INFLICTING INJURIES ON 4 YEAR OLD STEP DAUGHTER

Penpushing further reports that, Oyeyemi explained that, the teacher of the girl having noticed reluctance of the pupil in the classroom, took time to examine her, coupled with her reluctance to return home after close of the school, discovered that she had being brutalized.

He said, the teacher therefore took the child to the police station and showed the police various body injuries on the little girl, a development which prompted the police to effect the arrest of the woman

His words, ‘The arrest of the wicked step mother was as a result of complaints lodged at Mowe Police Station by the class teacher of the pupil who brought the little girl to the station and showed the police various body injuries on the little girl’.

‘The teacher complaints that she has been noticing the reluctant of the girl to go home after closing and that the girl is in the habit of crying seriously whenever is time for her to go home.

She further explain that she discovered that the girl came to school that morning looking very sick and when she tried to feel her body temperature, the girl shouted in pain which prompted her to check her body and found lacerations all over the girl’s body’,Oyeyemi added

The police spokesman said, on the strength of the report, the Divisional Police Officer of Mowe Division, Francis Ebhuoma detailed detectives to follow the girl to their house where the wicked step mother was promptly arrested.

He said, the Abia State born woman disclosed to the police that the mother of the girl died while giving birth to her and that she got married to the girl’s father in 2016,and when questioned about the reason for her wicked act to the innocent girl, she has no reasonable answer to give.

Penpushing further reports that, as at the time of filing this report, the Commissioner of Police Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered that the command should conduct thorough investigation into the case with the view of prosecuting the suspect.
