WOMEN CAN BREAK ALL ODDS THROUGH STRONG DETERMINATION, SAYS GOVERNOR AMBODE
The Governor noted that as women, there will always be odds facing them, but urged them to remain steadfast and focus to break any odds of limitations.
Hear him ‘I am delighted to be here to support the good work of Dr. Mrs Florence Abiola Ajimobi, for the wisdom and vision she used to established OYSOWA to the objective of positively touching and impacting lives and communities in Oyo State’.
Ambode pointed out that the significant of the event was that Oyo State was the only State in the federation that has emulated Lagos State in pushing forward a program like this, noting that the wife of the Oyo State Governor has done well in growing and sustaining the initiative.
He explained that women are facing odds against their aspirations, dreams and sometimes against their objectives, but they should not take it as an excuse because the world does not take nor recognise excuse but result.
“You must push forward against all odds and you must have a strong desire and determination to succeed in life, as women, you face a lot of difficulties and challenges everyday, but you can overcome all these problems and succeed in your endeavours if you are determined and focus’.
Penpushing further reports that, the Governor noted that the world is changing everyday and women should be in forefront because they are agent of change.
“Women should never see themselves as depressed or discriminated against, every woman is an agent of change, the society is built on a small unit called the family where women have greater influence, Nigerian women can initiate change from their family unit which will bring about development to this nation’, Ambode stated.
The Governor reiterated further that with focus, determination and perseverance, women can transform themselves and their families, their communities, and Nigeria as a whole against all odds.
