Woman set fire on private part of maid over alleged eating of family biscuits
A suspected callous woman has run into trouble water for allegedly setting fire on private part of her underage housemaid in Isewo community Obada located in Ewekoro local government area of Ogun State.
Penpushing reports that the woman was reported to have inserted burning firewood on private part region and buttocks of the innocent girl as a measure to punish her, having accused the girl of eating biscuits without her consent.
The girl while narrating her ordeal in a circulated video, was seen writhing in pain as she showed her injured private part, which was the outcome of injuries inflicted on her by the woman she was staying with.
Penpushing further reports that the girl in her narration explained that her parents reside in Ijoun town located in Ipokia local government area of the state, and was brought to be staying with the woman through her relative to become an artisan
‘I was beaten and burning firewood pressed on my body, which include private because I ate biscuit, which I later confessed I ate. And it has always been the habit of the woman to maltreat me. My father and mother lives in Ijoun, but they are not aware of how I am being maltreated’, the girl lamented.
Penpushing also reports that as at the time of filing this report there was unconfirmed report that the Community Development Association (CDA) was trying to cover up the incident, while another source said the association had reported the case at Obada Police Station.
The sources from other quarters said the suspect have been handed over to the police at Obada and case subsequently transferred to Police Headquarters at Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation and likely suspect be arraigned in court soon.
Penpushing reports that, as at the time of filing this report, the Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola when contacted confirmed the incident, adding that the suspect has been arrested.
The Commissioner of Social Welfare and Women Affairs, Adijat Olaleye when contacted by Penpushing Media said information reaching her has it that the incident occurred at Isewo, adding that the girl had been taken to hospital for treatment
‘By our findings, the culprit has been arrested by the CDA and handed over to the police. It was said she will be charged to court tomorrow (Friday). The girl has also been taken to the hospital for treatment. The name of the CDA is Isewo CDA’, she stated
