Victory Life Bible Church donates transformer, food items to six villages in Ogun State

The Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC) has donated a transformer and food items as palliatives for six communities in Ogun State following the takeoff of lockdown order of the Federal Government following the ravaging coronavirus.

Penpushing reports that the beneficiary communities include: Lagbayun, Abule Nla/Palmview, Akinseku,Abatan , Igbosamo and Atoku all located in Obafemi-Oode Local Government Area of the State.

The General Overseer of the church, Apostle Lawrence Achudume accompanied by his wife,Folake  and other top church officials which include; Prof Bola Okunneye, Pastors Adeoye Adeyanju,Kingsley Akpojaro,Pastor(Mrs) Olude and Mrs Martins presented the gestures on Friday, adding that the church authority had also contacted the electricity company for the installation of the transformer.

Penpushing further reports that, the church equally extended the food supply gestures to men and officers of the Kemta and Obantoko police stations in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital.

The cleric emphasized the need to always put smiles of the faces of the needy, adding that such gestures are part of the social responsibilities of the Victory Live Bible Church(VLBC), and shall be a continuous exercise.

Penpushing also reports that, Achudume charged philanthropic organisations, religious bodies and well spirited individuals to lend a helping hand to the less privileged in the society as well as partner the authorities to cushion the effects of coronavirus.

The General Overseer  emphasized the need that  downtrodden in the society  should not be left to suffer at a time like this, and  advised politicians not to play politics with the unfortunate development  adding that funds released should be judiciously utilised stressing that  God will not  be happy with anyone who toys with the people’s lives.

Penpushing reports that, the clergyman stated  the  need for  government functionaries to always provide the needed functional facilities, pointing out  that lack of basic health equipments add to pressures on the health workers as well as other stakeholders that are in the frontline services to curtail  the outbreak.

The cleric, however, observed that the outbreak has suddenly created avenues for people of the world to be worried urging members of the public to strictly comply with the stay-at-home directive which takes effect from  11pm this Friday in Ogun State.

Penpushing further reports that, the religious leader lauded the  government for the steps taken so far to contain the spread saying that the early diagnosis and prompt intervention by health personnel should be sustained in the handling of the disease

The Baale of Olaotan, Chief Gabriel Akinbi-Obawunmi who spoke on behalf of the six communities expressed appreciation to the church for what he described as kind gestures, which will definitely refuse the residents burden.

Penpushing also reports that, Akinbi-Obawunmi  noted that, the location of the church was a blessing to the six communities, as their neighbor, recalling that the communities before the donation of the new transformer, had all along being connected to the church electricity supply for over a decade.

Meanwhile, other head of the villages in attendance include: Chiefs Nofiu of Eruwon Alagbayan, Emmanuel Oguntoyinbo of Akinseju, Rahmon Sodeinde of Kemta- Abata, Abiodun Olojede of Abule Nla/Palmview,  and  Razak Abati of Atoku
