Victory Life Bible Church celebrates ‘3 wisemen’

Dateline: Saturday August 7, 2021 and the event of the day was a breakfast programme in honour of three ‘wise men’ of the Victory Life Bible Church(VLBC) held at the restaurant of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital

Penpushing reports that, the ceremony which attracted number of dignitaries comprising the church leadership, members, academia, media practitioners and family members of the celebrators  among others started with opening prayers by Bishop Stephen Olalekan, which was followed with the Hymn, ’Am passing on the Upward Way’.

The celebrators which include: Barrister Kamil Abolade(Chairman Nigerian Bar Association, Abeokuta branch), Dr(Mrs) Taiwo Alakija-Aroyewun(Chairperson Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria, Abeokuta branch) and Prof Olubunmi Agbebi (Chairperson Fisheries Society of Nigeria, Ogun State Chapter) were ushered in majestically to the venue

Penpushing further reports   in her welcome address , President of Royal Lady of Nigeria, who doubles as wife of General Overseer of the church, Rev Fola  Achudume said the celebrators were been honoured  following their elevation in their various professional unions

‘We are here to celebrate what grace can do. They have distinguished themselves in their various professional disciplines and as one of us; they have made the church proud. They deserve to be celebrated’, she stated

Penpushing also reports that, musical band was in attendance dishing out various melody tunes to the admiration of celebrators and their guests and well wishers who could not hide their joy, as they were seen dancing religiously to the tunes.

The well packaged and designed to taste  event  sponsor by Victory Life Bible Church(VLBC) was provided with delicious breakfast menu as guests filed out in number to take their choice meal and drinks,

Penpushing reports that, General Oversee of the church, Apostle Lawrence Achudume in his speech assured that the Church will continue to honour and respect them for their exploits and good representation they gave the church, and equally charged them to continue to keep the flag flying.

The clergyman emphasised that, the church was celebrating the ‘3 wisemen’ as distinguished personalities who made the church proud, and tasked them on the need to be more alive to their leadership roles.

‘We are celebrating distinguished personalities who have made us proud, They deserve to be honoured, and we shall continued to honour our members found to be doing well  in their various field of professions and church activities’, Achudume said

Penpushing further reports that, the known fearless and frankly speaking cleric also took time to address turbulent period, Nigeria, as a nation is confronting, and  called on Nigerians on need to respect those in authority to enable them to succeed in the task of governance.

The General Overseer pointed out that those who occupy the offices have become persons of influence whose actions affect people’s lives, and quoted Matthew 13:58 in the Holy Bible that Jesus Christ could not perform great miracles in his hometown because he was not respected by his people.

.Penpushing further reports that, the clergyman noted that this behavioral attitude from the governed  will not bring out the best in those leading the country, stating that rather people will only get the equivalent of what they take their leaders for.

The cleric emphaised that  lack of respect for leaders is a major challenge to the progress of the country and appealed to  Nigerians not to cheapen their leaders and stop the attitude of cursing them or using negative words for them as this will demoralise them from performing well.

Penpushing also reports that, Achudume took time to  advise those in leadership positions not just to be in office, but use their positions to affect lives positively, and equally urged them to be disciplined, trust worthy and good examples that people will look up to for them to succeed in the assignments given to them.

The honourees described as ‘3 wise men” in their separate remarks appreciated the church and its leadership for the recognition given them, while they also gave assurance that they will not drop the ball and continue to project the image of the church positively.

Penpushing reports that, the ceremony was brought to an end with shower of prayers on the celebrators by number of clergymen, who all stretched their hands in unison to bless them, while after that, the celebrators and their family, invited guests took to the dancing floor.
