TWO NIGERIANS DOCKED FOR DRINKING IN FRONT OF POLICE STATION
“The accused drank alcohol in front of Akinpelu Police Station after the Commissioner of Police had warned that on no account should anyone operate a beer parlour around any police station,” Williams stated.
The prosecutor further added that, the offences contravene Sections 57 and 412 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, while Penpushing findings showed that section 57 prescribes six months imprisonment for offenders.
Penpushing also report that, the accused persons, a self-employed and labourer respectively, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, L. Y. Balogun, granted them bail in the sum of N5, 000 each with one surety each in like sum and adjourned the case until March 16.
