Two military aircraft crash in Niger State
Two Nigerian Air Force (NAF) aircraft have crashed near a village in terror-ravaged Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, an incident reported to have occurred on Saturday around 4pm
Penpushing reports that a resident of the area said the crash occurred near a small settlement called Karabonde, adding that locals from the area reported that two pilots sustained injuries, while the cause of the crash has not been determined.
The scene of the incident, another source from the village said it shares fences with an Air Force base in New Busa and the Wawa military cantonment where hundreds of terrorists are being held.
Penpushing further reports that the source said he was not around when the incident happened, explaining that his family briefed him and promise to get back to journalists when he gets w the full details
The military as at the time of filing this report has not issued a statement on the incident, however, it was said that the Air Force jets have been surveying the area since the abduction of more than 300 students in Papiri, Niger State.
Penpushing also reports that an Air Force officer, who was involved in the surveillance, explained that the mission is being carried out by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
