Truck crushes student, tricycle rider to death in Ibadan

A tricycle rider simply identified as Kayode was on Thursday crushed to death in a road accident involving an articulated truck and three commercial tricycles at Airport junction, Alakia, Ibadan, the Oyo state capital city.

Penpushing reports that, an eyewitness said, the truck ran over the head of the victim, after it rammed into three of the commercial tricycles where they were parked.,adding  that the driver of the truck had earlier knocked down a student,at the airport flyover bridge before the incident,

The  angry youths within the vicinity pursued the runaway driver and after apprehension handed him over to the police at the Gbagi Police Station alongside the damaged tricycles, just as source said the crash was linked to excess speed by the truck driver.

Penpushing also reports that the quick intervention of security operatives including Police, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp and Air Force who arrived  the scene forestall breakdown of law and order.
