TRIBUNAL SACKS DINO MELAYE AS SENATOR

The controversial Federal lawmaker had served two terms and later won election as a Senator in 2015, and was declared winner of the February 2019 to serve another term in the Senate.

Penpushing further reports that, Melaye who is also in a running battle with his State Governor, Yahaya Bello had in June confirmed he would be contesting the forthcoming Governorship election in the State, which is scheduled to hold on November 16.

The embattled Senator is being prosecuted by the police for allegedly aiding violence in Kogi and for allegedly attempting to commit suicide while being taken to Kogi by the police for a court trial over the alleged offences.
