Traditional ruler of Oke-Ona, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso prepares for 35th coronation anniversary
The Osile Oke-Ona Egba, Oba (Dr) Adedapo Tejuoso is set for 35th coronation anniversary with number of programs and activities line up, which include Christian crusade, as well as 35 hours marathon praise, a ceremony scheduled to hold between May 10-20, 2024 in Abeokuta.
Penpushing reports that Chairman of the anniversary committee, Chief Ganiyu Egunjobi addressing a press conference at Osile Palace on Friday explained that the crusade will take place for three days at the Karunwi compound between May 10-12 May, 2024
The Chairman who is Otun Egba of Oke-Ona added that on Wednesday May 15, 2024 there will be presentation of new chiefs to the monarch at the palace located in Sapon area of the ancient town, to be witness by all sons and daughters of the kingdom.
Penpushing further reports that Egunjobi who was represented by Chief Muhyi-Deen Kazeem at the press conference disclosed that 35 hours marathon praise is scheduled for Friday May 17 to run till May 18, at Olusegun Obasanjo Resort Presidential Library, Abeokuta.
The Anniversary Committee boss added that on Friday, May 17, there will be a Jumat Service to hold at Oke-Ona Central Mosque, Ikereku, with all Oke-Ona Egba Muslim High Chiefs led by Otun Egba, Balogun Oke-Ona in attendance.
Penpushing also reports that he explained that in similar vein, thanksgiving service is slated to hold at St James African Church, Idi-Ape on Sunday May 19, while on Monday 10, there is going to be beating of traditional Gbedu drums at the palace
The Chairman disclosed at the press conference where the traditional ruler and Bishop Kayode Williams (Director General Prison Rehabilitation Mission International) were in attendance that on Monday, May 20, guests will be entertained at the palace to end the week-long activities
